Every year, just before Halloween, I would host a pumpkin carving party. It was recently named "The Great Pumpkin Massacre". Friends from all over the state would join and celebrate a fun holiday together at a pot-luck style gathering. Here is where my clever ruse takes place. People carve the pumpkins, leaving the seeds and innards in a large pot where I later take them and separate the seeds.
