Honey Glazed Walnuts

A healthy snack on its own, or a wonderful addition to a recipe that can help add a sweet and savory flavor to any dish that calls for walnuts!

A Robust Addition to Banana Nut Bread

These nuts were originally meant to be a part of my banana nut bread recipe but as I was making them, I couldn't keep my fingers away. I figured the best thing to do would be to just make them their own recipe so everyone can enjoy a delicious and healthy snack!  I encourage you to try these in the banana nut bread recipe. You will not regret it, I promise!

Honey Glazed Walnuts

Ingredients

  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 2 tbs butter
  • 6 tbs honey
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon 

Preparation

  • Line a baking sheet with wax /parchment paper and set aside.


  • Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat and lightly browned.


  • Mix in honey and ground cinnamon and stir.


  • Pour in the walnuts and mix until nuts are well coated.


  • Stir for a few minutes (Approx. 5 minutes), or until walnuts are lightly roasted.


  • Pour the walnuts onto the baking sheet and separate. (They will stick together otherwise)


  • Let cool (Approx. 10 minutes) and enjoy!


Finishing Touches

  • Separate the walnuts from the wax/parchment paper and pour into a bowl or Tupperware. 


  • Enjoy them now, or save them for later!
