How this recipe came to be

On a venture to make the most mouthwatering ribs, I have tried recipe after recipe on the internet simply trying to find the best one. So when my search would most often come up just shy of the perfect ribs, I decided to take all the best parts out of a few different recipes to create this masterpiece!

BBQ Spare Ribs

Ingredients

  • 1 Rack of Spare Ribs
  • 1 Cup BBQ Sauce
  • 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tsp Salt
  • 2 Tsp Cracked Pepper
  • 2 Tsp Smoke Paprika
  • 1 Tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder

Preparation

Dry Rub:

  • Combine Brown Sugar, Salt, Pepper, Smoke Paprika, Onion Powder, and Garlic Powder in a small bowl and mix.

Ribs:

  • Preheat oven to 350(f) degrees
  • Remove the membrane from under the ribs if it has not already been done. You can do this by using a butter knife to peel back the membrane until you are able to remove it by hand
  • Coat the ribs with your dry rub mix evenly, set aside and let the dry rub absorb the juices from the ribs. 2 - 3 minutes.
  • Do a second coating of the dry rub and let absorb for another minute
  • Spread on a generous amount of your favorite barbecue sauce and make sure to cover both sides
  • Wrap in tinfoil and place on the rack in the oven.
  • Let cook for 2.5 - 3 hours.
  • After 2.5 hours, remove from oven and apply another coating of barbecue sauce and place back in oven.
  • Once the ribs are tender, open the top of the tinfoil and apply another coating of barbecue sauce
  • Turn your oven to broil and let cook for another 20 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes.

Finishing Touches

  • Serve on its own, or with a Satisfying Side!
